Happy Mother's Day!

For Mother's Day this year we did a pot-luck brunch at my house. We celebrated all the wonderful mom's in our family with lots of yummy food and good conversation. I decided to make flower pot cards for my mom and my mom-in-law. I found a tutorial online by Stephanie Luman and it is really easy to follow and make. I just love these cards! Here is a picture of the two cards I made. I added some additional embellishment with the Big Shot butterfly cut outs which also have texture to them.

Fifth Avenue Floral in Tangerine!

I have to admit - I love this stamp set! I have seen and done several cards but have always been using the same colors: Baja Breeze, Kiwi Kiss, Basic Grey. Today is my sister-in-law's birthday and the gift wrap we have has reds and oranges in it so I thought I'd try a Fifth Avenue Floral card with those colors. The end result surprised me. I am pretty please with how it looks. I also added on a Butterfly cut with my Big Shot and then used my texture plates to give it something extra.
